About Us
Our Mission
CareerWomin is a community organization with a mission to educate, enrich, and empower young women from minority groups (women of color) in the broad STEM field during the early stages of their careers.
We aim to achieve our mission by generating inspiring and beneficial content in various forms to empower women. We believe in building a community to provide professional growth and development opportunities for women.
The 'min' in CareerWomin represents our commitment to supporting women from underserved backgrounds, including but not limited to women of color, first-generation college students, early career starters, international students, and immigrant women, among others.
How We Make It Happen
Our vision is to empower all women of color, especially those early in their careers, to become professionally confident and competent, regardless of their career background. We will achieve this through strong community building, including:
Learning and collaborating with female trailblazers whom we can relate to and look up to.
Cultivating personal connections via enjoyable community events, both virtual and in-person.
Fostering meaningful conversations around professional development as a woman of color in the broad STEM field.
Meet Our Team
We are a team of recent graduates, early-career professionals, and kick-ass women. We came together because we all resonate with the importance of women, especially women of color, making their mark in the professional world.
We have all faced unique challenges on our journeys, and we want to help others navigate these waters. The CareerWomin community is a one-stop destination that empowers young professionals to advance through professional growth and development via inspiring digital content and a supportive community.
